The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation between mental health and emotional intelligence in students' academic success. Materials and Methods: This study was a descriptive-analytical and correlation study that was performed on 94 operating room students of Hamadan Paramedical Faculty in 2019. Sampling was done by census method. Data gathering tools were Emotional Inventory Imani et al. 2018, Goldberg Mental Health Questionnaire and Standard Academic success Questionnaire. Data were analyzed by SPSS 23 software. Results: Data analysis showed that there was a direct, positive and positive linear relationship between emotional intelligence and mental health in the operating room students in semesters four (r = 0.858) and six (r = 0.932) and eight (r = 0.846). There is a meaning. Also, there was a direct, positive and significant linear relationship between emotional intelligence and academic success (mean grade) of operating room students in semesters four (r = 0.867) and six (r = 0.818) and eight (r = 0.766). In addition, there was a direct, positive and significant linear relationship between mental health and academic success (mean grade) of operating room students in semesters four (r = 0.837) and six (r = 0.814) and eight (r = 0.798).
