سابقه و هدف: استفاده از روش‌های آموزشی نوین، مانند کلاس درس معکوس یکی از اولویت‌های مهم آموزش دانشجویان به شمار می‌رود. هدف این مطالعه بررسی تاثیر کلاس معکوس بر مهارت‌های ارتباطی دانشجویان پرستاری با مراقبان و کودکان بستری حین انجام مراقبت‌های پرستاری است.
مواد و روش ها: در این مطالعه نیمه‌تجربی، ۶۴ دانشجوی ترم ۶ پرستاری همدان به روش سرشماری انتخاب و در دو گروه آزمون و کنترل قرار گرفتند. در گروه کنترل هیچ‌گونه مداخله‌ای صورت نگرفت. در گروه آزمون، برای آموزش مهارت‌های ارتباطی از روش کلاس معکوس استفاده شد. برای دو گروه مهارت‌های ارتباطی هر دانشجوی پرستاری با والد همراه و کودک بستری حین دریافت مراقبت‌های پرستاری براساس چک لیست، سه بار با فواصل یک هفته مشاهده و ثبت شد. برای تحلیل داده‌ها از آزمون‌های آنالیز واریانس، کای اسکوئر و یا تست دقیق فیشر تحت نرم‌افزار آماری STATA.۱۴ استفاده شد.
یافته‌ها: در هر سه بار مشاهده، بین میانگین نمرات مهارت‌های ارتباطی گروه آزمون و کنترل با مادران و کودکان بستری تفاوت معناداری آماری وجود داشت (۰/۰۰۱>p). میانگین تفاضل بین نمرات دانشجویان گروه آزمون درباره مادران و کودکان بستری در مشاهده سوم در مقایسه با مشاهده اول و مشاهده سوم در مقایسه با مشاهده دوم به طور معناداری بیشتر از گروه کنترل بود (۰/۰۰۱>P).
نتیجه‌گیری: کلاس درس معکوس می‌تواند به عنوان یک روش مناسب جهت ارتقای سطح مهارت‌های ارتباطی دانشجویان پرستاری استفاده شود.
