سابقه و هدف: اعتیاد به اینترنت در نوجوانان، تهدیدی برای سلامت جسمی، روانی و اجتماعی است. بررسی رابطه‌ی میان رفتارهای ارتقاءدهنده سلامت و این پدیده می‌تواند در طراحی مداخلات مؤثر برای پیشگیری کمک کند. هدف از این مطالعه، تعیین ارتباط بین رفتارهای ارتقاءدهنده سلامت و اعتیاد به اینترنت در دختران نوجوان است.
مواد و روش ها: در این مطالعه مقطعی-تحلیلی که در سال ۱۴۰۲ در شهر حله، کشور عراق انجام شد، ۲۰۰ دانش‌آموز دختر نوجوان با استفاده از روش نمونه‌گیری ترکیبی در دسترس و سیستماتیک تصادفی انتخاب و بررسی شدند. داده‌ها از طریق پرسش‌نامه‌های استاندارد رفتارهای ارتقاءدهنده سلامت و پرسش‌نامه اعتیاد به اینترنت یانگ، گردآوری و با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه ۲۲ و با بهره‌گیری از آمار توصیفی، آزمون تی مستقل، همبستگی پیرسون و آزمون کای‌اسکوئر تحلیل شدند.
یافته‌ها: رفتارهای ارتقاءدهنده سلامت مانند ورزش (۰/۷۰۳=P)، رژیم غذایی سالم (۰/۳۱۲=P)، شستن دست‌ها (۰/۱۱۰=P)، رابطه خوب (۰/۵۳۶=P)، بهبود خلق (۰/۹۶۵=P) و کسب اطلاعات پزشکی (۰/۸۱۲=P)، تأثیر معناداری بر اعتیاد به اینترنت نداشتند. همبستگی اسپیرمن نیز رابطه معناداری بین نمره کل رفتارهای سلامت و اعتیاد به اینترنت نشان نداد (۰/۴۲۱=P، ۰/۰۵۷=r).
نتیجه‌گیری: رفتارهای ارتقاءدهنده سلامت، تأثیر معناداری بر کاهش اعتیاد به اینترنت ندارند. پیشنهاد می‌شود برنامه‌های پیشگیری جامع، شامل آموزش مهارت‌های زندگی، مدیریت زمان و کاهش استرس، همراه با مداخلات روانی-اجتماعی، برای کاهش اعتیاد به اینترنت در نوجوانان طراحی شود.
