سابقه و هدف: در سال‌های اخیر مراقبت و آموزش زودهنگام در راستای تحول مطلوب کودکان توجهات زیادی را به خود جلب کرده است. این پژوهش با هدف اثربخشی مراقبت و آموزش زودهنگام کودکی بر هوش کودکان 2 تا 24 ماهه و سرمایه عاطفی و استرس والدگری مادران اجرا شد.
مواد و روش‌‌ها: نمونه پژوهش شامل 25 مادر و کودک برای هر یک از دو گروه سنی 2 تا 12 ماه و 13 تا 24 ماه (در مجموع برای هر دو گروه 50 مادر و کودک) بودند که از طریق نمونه‌گیری هدفمند انتخاب شدند. از پرسش‌نامه هوش کودکان کتل، پرسش‌نامه سرمایه عاطفی و استرس والدگری برای سنجش متغیرهای وابسته استفاده شد. هر گروه از مادران و کودکان طی 6 هفته تحت آموزش و مراقبت زودهنگام برای کودکان قرار گرفتند. داده‌ها از طریق آزمون تی گروه‌های همبسته تحلیل شد.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد آموزش و مراقبت زودهنگام کودکی موجب ارتقای معنادار هوش کودکان 2 تا 12 ماه و 13 تا 24 ماه به ترتیب به اندازه 1/20 و 1/59 و سرمایه عاطفی مادران آن‌ها به ترتیب به اندازه 25/52 و 12/47 شده است (0/01>P). همچنین نتایج نشان داد آموزش و مراقبت زودهنگام کودکی موجب کاهش استرس والدگری مادران کودکان 2 تا 24 ماهه به ترتیب به اندازه 103/20 و 37/47 شده است (0/01>P).
نتیجه‌گیری: با توجه به اثربخشی آموزش و مراقبت زودهنگام کودکی در ارتقای وضعیت هوش کودکان 2 تا 24 ماهه و افزایش سرمایه عاطفی در کنار کاهش استرس والدگری مادران آن‌ها، توجه به این نوع مراقبت و آموزش زودهنگام کودکان به خانواده‌ها و مهدکودک‌ها پیشنهاد می‌شود.
