سابقه و هدف: ارتقای سازگاری اجتماعی می‌تواند مسیر رشدی مهارت‌های کودکان پیش‌دبستانی را بهبود بخشد؛ بنابراین، پژوهش حاضر با هدف تعیین اثربخشی بازی‌درمانی مبتنی بر رویکرد شناختی-رفتاری بر سازگاری اجتماعی کودکان پیش‌دبستانی انجام شد.
مواد و روش‌‌ها: روش پژوهش شبه‌تجربی از نوع پیش‌آزمون و پس‌آزمون با گروه گواه همراه با دوره پیگیری است و شامل تمامی کودکان پیش‌دبستانی (۵ تا ۶ سال) شهر بجنورد در سال تحصیلی ۹۹-۱۳۹۸ بود که به روش نمونه‌گیری در دسترس ۴۰ نفر انتخاب و به‌صورت تصادفی در دو گروه آزمایش و گواه تقسیم شدند. گروه آزمایش در ۱۲ جلسه ۹۰دقیقه‌ای تحت آموزش بازی‌درمانی با رویکرد شناختی-رفتاری قرار گرفت؛ ولی گروه گواه هیچ آموزشی دریافت ننمود. پرسش‌نامه سازگاری اجتماعی قبل و بعد از انجام آموزش برای آزمودنی‌ها اجرا شد. داده‌ها با استفاده از آزمون تحلیل واریانس اندازه‌گیری مکرر بین گروهی در سطح معناداری ۰٫۰۵ با نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه ۲۴ تحلیل شدند.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد، بازی‌درمانی مبتنی بر رویکرد شناختی-رفتاری در بهبود سازگاری اجتماعی کودکان پیش‌دبستانی موثر بود (۰/۰۵>p) و نتایج در دوره پیگیری تداوم داشت (۰/۰۵>p).
نتیجه‌گیری: آموزش بازی‌درمانی مبتنی بر رویکرد شناختی-رفتاری به کودکان پیش‌دبستانی می‌تواند گام موثری در ارتقای سازگاری اجتماعی آنان باشد.
