سابقه و هدف: عملکرد اجرایی در شش سال اول زندگی رشد می‌کند و سپس پیچیده‌تر می‌شود و یکی از مؤلفه‌های مهم دوران کودکی است که می‌تواند تمام ابعاد زندگی کودک را رشد دهد و به موفقیت برساند. هدف پژوهش حاضر تعیین اثربخشی بازی‌های مونته‌سوری بر عملکرد اجرایی کودکان پیش‌دبستانی مشهد است.
مواد و روش ها: روش پژوهش نیمه‌آزمایشی با طرح پیش‌آزمون، پس‌آزمون با گروه کنترل بود. جامعه‌ی آماری پژوهش تمامی کودکان ۵ تا ۶ ساله‌ی پیش‌دبستانی در شهر مشهد در سال تحصیلی ۱۳۹۸ - ۱۳۹۹ بودند. ۳۲ کودک به روش نمونه‌گیری هدفمند انتخاب شدند و به‌صورت تصادفی در دو گروه کنترل و گروه آزمایش تقسیم شدند و به پرسش‌نامه‌ی مقیاس نارسایی‌های کنش اجرایی بارکلی (۲۰۱۲) به کمک والدین و مربیانشان پاسخ دادند. گروه آزمایش در ۱۰ جلسه‌ی بازی‌های مونته‌سوری شرکت کردند، اما گروه کنترل هیچ مداخله‌ای دریافت نکردند. تجزیه‌و‌تحلیل داده‌ها با آزمون تحلیل واریانس در نسخه‌ی ۲۴ نرم‌افزار SPSS انجام شد.
یافته‌ها: پژوهش نشان داد که تحلیل واریانس نمرات نارسایی کنش های اجرایی در پس آزمون دو گروه با معناداری ۰/۰۲۷ نشان داد که تفاوت معناداری بین این دو گروه وجود دارد.
نتیجه‌گیری: براساس نتایج پژوهش می‌توان گفت که بازی‌های مونته‌سوری بر عملکرد اجرایی کودکان پیش‌دبستانی مؤثر بود و می‌توان در مهدکودک‌ها، مدارس و کلینیک‌ها استفاده کرد.
