سابقه و هدف: بهبود شایستگی‌های فردی، زمینه خوب‌زیستن را امکان‌پذیر می‌سازد؛ بنابراین، هدف پژوهش حاضر تعیین اثربخشی آموزش مثبت‌نگری بر ادراک شایستگی و کیفیت زندگی دانش‌آموزان بود.
مواد و روش‌‌ها: پژوهش حاضر شبه‌تجربی از نوع پیش‌آزمون و پس‌آزمون با گروه گواه بود. جامعه آماری شامل تمام دانش‌آموزان پایه پنجم و ششم ابتدایی شهر چابهار در سال تحصیلی 1399-1400 بودند که 30 نفر به شیوه نمونه‌گیری در دسترس انتخاب شدند و در دو گروه 15 نفره آزمایش و گواه قرار گرفتند. دانش‌آموزان به مقیاس ادراک شایستگی هارتر و کیفیت زندگی راونز سیبری و همکاران پاسخ دادند. دانش‌آموزان گروه آزمایش به مدت 8 جلسه 60 دقیقه‌ای تحت آموزش مثبت‌نگری سلیگمن و همکاران قرار گرفتند. گروه گواه هیچ‌گونه آموزشی دریافت نکرد. تجزیه‌وتحلیل داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه 22 و آزمون تحلیل کوواریانس چندمتغیره در سطح معنی‌داری 05/0= α انجام شد.
یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد آموزش مثبت‌نگری به‌طور معناداری موجب افزایش ادراک شایستگی و کیفیت زندگی در دانش‌آموزان شد (0/01>P).
نتیجه‌گیری: بر اساس نتایج، آموزش مثبت‌نگری به‌منظور ارتقای ادراک شایستگی و کیفیت زندگی دانش‌آموزان پیشنهاد می‌شود.
