Background and Objectives: Being a single parent can cause some behavioral disorders and affect the course and prognosis of children in these families. Therefore, it is important to examine behavioral problems in children of these families. This research was conducted with the aim of comparing behavioral problems of children from single-parent and two-parent families.
Materials and Methods: The research method was post-event, the statistical population of this research is 7-12 year old children of Farahan city, and the sample of this research is 60 children, including 30 single-parent children and 30 two-parent children. Sampling in this research was done as available and evaluated using Rutter's questionnaire.
Results: The results of the research show that single-parent children have a significant difference in attention deficit subscale compared to children with two parents. In such a way that adolescents with a single parent status have obtained a higher score in lack of attention.
Conclusion: In conclusion, it can be said that children who have one parent are neglected for reasons that show the bad effects of the absence of one of the parents.
